Ingredients

  • 3 cups unsweetened 100% cranberry juice chilled
  • 2 cups fresh orange juice from about 4-5 oranges
  • 3 tbsp pure maple syrup optional, to taste
  • 3 cups plain sparkling water chilled
  • 1 orange thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise pods
  • 2 fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 3 cups ice

Method

  1. In a large punch bowl or 1-gallon pitcher, stir the cranberry juice, orange juice and maple syrup until the syrup dissolves.
  2. Add the orange slices, cranberries, cinnamon sticks, star anise and rosemary. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours) to let the flavors meld.
  3. Just before serving, add the sparkling water and ice; stir gently once.
  4. Ladle into 12 glasses, spooning a few cranberries and an orange slice into each. Garnish with rosemary and serve immediately.
