Ingredients

  • 8 oz feta cheese block, drained
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt whole-milk
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice from about half a lemon
  • 1 clove garlic grated
  • 1/4 cup honey for the hot honey
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tbsp shelled pistachios chopped
  • 8 oz pita chips for serving
  • 2 cups carrot sticks for serving

Method

  1. Warm the honey and crushed red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over low heat for 3-4 minutes, until the honey smells fragrant and the flakes darken slightly. Remove from the heat and keep warm.
  2. Crumble the feta into the bowl of a food processor. Add the Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and black pepper.
  3. Process for 2-3 minutes, scraping down the sides once or twice, until the dip is completely smooth, creamy and a little fluffy.
  4. Spoon the whipped feta into a shallow serving bowl and swirl the top with the back of a spoon.
  5. Drizzle the warm chili honey over the dip and scatter the pistachios on top.
  6. Serve right away with pita chips and carrot sticks, with extra honey on the side.
