John Pierce came to his Britain's Got Talent audition as a music teacher, and the show describes him as shy. For his moment on stage in Series 18, he chose a song many people already know well: 'Creep' by Radiohead.
He didn't sing it the way most people remember it. He gave the song an operatic treatment and turned a familiar rock tune into something built for a big classical voice. The show calls the performance a vocal masterclass and says he gave it his all.
The audition is one of the show's "Unforgettable Audition" clips, so the channel has picked it out as a moment worth seeing again. It's also a chance to watch a teacher, someone who spends his days helping other people find their voices, step forward and use his own.
