Dancing With The Stars brought a piece of Broadway into the ballroom with a performance of "Friend Like Me" from Aladdin.
Sherri Shepherd and Rodney Ingram perform the number together. Britt Stewart choreographed it, so the movement belongs to the show's own dance world even as the song comes from the stage musical.
"Friend Like Me" is the Aladdin number chosen for this moment, and it was presented as part of the show's celebration of Disney on Broadway. The performance moves the musical out of the theater and onto a television dance floor, where song and choreography share the space.
The video is the best way to take it in, from the first steps to the final pose.
Dancing With The Stars airs live Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+, and episodes are available the next day on Hulu.
