Some folks would get nervous singing a song in front of the man who made it. In The Voice Battles, Joe Henley and Kenna Elpers did it anyway.
The two country singers, called a duo on the show, performed "Don't Mind If I Do." That's the song by Riley Green featuring Ella Langley. This season Riley Green is also one of the coaches, so they sang his own song right in front of him.
This is the 30th season of NBC's The Voice, and it has a lot of familiar faces in it. Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine are back in their red chairs. Queen Latifah and Riley Green are the new coaches this time, so there are four coaches on the panel for this milestone season.
Picking a coach's own song is a little like bringing a pie to the lady who taught you the recipe. She'll know right away if you got it right. Joe and Kenna sang it anyway, and the clip shows how they did.
The Voice airs Monday and Tuesday at 8/7c on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
