Two voices. One song. One stage.
Anna McElroy and Johnnie Kapua face off in The Voice Battles. Their song is "Some Things I'll Never Know" by Teddy Swims featuring Maren Morris. NBC's own channel calls their version moving.
This is season 30 of The Voice. NBC's four-time Emmy Award-winning music competition returned on September 21 for a milestone run. Kelly Clarkson is back in her iconic red chair. So is reigning champ Adam Levine. Queen Latifah and Riley Green, both new coaches, complete the panel.
The show follows the strongest vocalists from across the country. Now two of them share a single song. They split the lines between them. Each note lands right next to the other's.
New episodes air Monday at 8/7c on NBC and stream the next day on Peacock.
The song moves toward its final line. Then the last note hangs in the air. Two artists. One Battle. A decision still to come.
